When a health check is the right first step

Before you change anything, know what is actually happening: in the PMO, in the platform and in the numbers the board reads.

Most PMOs cannot say with confidence how mature their governance is, how much of Oracle PPM Cloud they actually use, or how many hours a month go into assembling reports by hand. A health check answers those questions with evidence rather than opinion, in weeks rather than quarters, and produces a plan that is prioritised by impact.

It is deliberately short and deliberately independent: the assessors are Oracle PPM specialists, not the team that will sell you the remediation, and the findings are yours whether you go further with us or not.

Typical starting points

  • A new PMO director wants a baseline before making changes
  • Oracle PPM Cloud has been live for a year and adoption has stalled
  • Finance and the PMO report different numbers for the same portfolio
  • An audit or regulator has questioned project governance evidence
  • A transformation programme needs a factual starting point
  • The quarterly Oracle update keeps breaking something nobody owns

What we do

Maturity assessment

Governance, portfolio, finance, resource and risk practices scored against a five-level model built for Oracle PPM.

Platform and data review

Configuration, security, integrations and data quality, with the unused capability you are already paying for.

Prioritised remediation plan

Findings ranked by impact and effort, with owners, sequencing and the quick wins separated from the structural work.

Approach

Three weeks from kick-off to executive readout.

1

Gather

Interviews, document review and a read-only platform review, in the first week.

2

Assess

Score maturity, test the platform against the practices, reconcile the numbers, and validate the findings with the PMO.

3

Report

Executive readout with the scorecard, prioritised findings and the remediation plan, then a decision on what to do first.

  • A short list of the changes that matter most, with owners and effort.
  • Evidence for auditors and regulators of how project governance actually works.
  • The unused Oracle PPM capability you can switch on before buying anything.
  • One reconciled view of portfolio numbers between the PMO and finance.
  • A clear decision: fix in place, transform, or run with managed services.
